10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About TNA
6. They Made Some Of WWE's Top Stars
Pointing out the flaws in WWE's star-making machine is almost redundant at this point. The promotion have continually failed to build believable main eventers over the past couple of decades, relying instead on the headliners of the past, along with those created elsewhere
The problem is that as far as Vince McMahon is concerned, if it didn't happen in WWE, it didn't happen at all. This has led to the legacies of many a WWE signing being no-sold completely, and the problem is particularly pertinent when it comes to ex-TNA wrestlers.
WWE do everything they can to ignore the promotion's existence, even though many of their top stars initially rose to power in Impact. The list includes current WWE Champion AJ Styles, whom Vince McMahon passed over as a rookie following his purchase of WCW, but later developed into one of the world's best wrestlers under TNA employ. Samoa Joe, too, is an Impact legend, while Bobby Roode's legacy isn't far behind either.
These guys lose more than anyone else when their histories are glossed over. Sadly, this is unlikely to change until the day Impact finally dies, after which most of these wrestlers will already be retired.
