10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Toni Storm

In retrospect, Storm's WWE career was littered with missed opportunities. One of the biggest came after she'd won the Mae Young Classic at the one-off Evolution pay-per-view in 2018. That tournament triumph should've been a springboard to bigger and better things, but there was just one problem.

The E didn't know how to capitalise.

Was Toni's run in NXT fun? Sure, but that was meant to be an appetiser for more to come on Raw or SmackDown. The fact she was so heavily-endorsed by both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon (who had been cast as star-squashing members of The Authority in recent years) had to mean more than it did.

Storm looked every bit the future of WWE's women when she offed Io Shirai to win the trophy. The gorgeous bouquet of flowers she was presented with, along with the beaming smile on the youngster's face, would soon wilt and fade.
