10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Toni Storm

5. The Quick Queen’s Crown Job

WWE had something else in mind for Toni anyway.

She entered the brackets for the first ever Queen's Crown tourney. Some fans on Twitter were pleased about this, 'cause most thought Storm could replicate her Mae Young Classic success from a few years prior. Or...not. The SmackDown newcomer jobbed to eventual winner Zelina Vega in just over two minutes.

This 8 October loss should've come as a big warning sign that WWE didn't really know what to do with Toni. She was the first woman eliminated from a tournament that went a grand total of 19 minutes and 35 seconds bell-to-bell. Yes, less than 20 whole minutes of ring time.

Toni got exactly two minutes and 10 seconds of those in early-October. WWE transitioning out of that embarrassment into a SmackDown Women's Title push is maybe an overall commentary on the way they do business and ready wrestlers for featured feuds too.

On that note...
