10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 35

4. The Way Kurt Angle's Career Ended

Kurt Angle made his full in-ring WWE debut in 1999 and quickly developed into one of the best wrestlers in the industry. By 2006, though his health and personal problems forced him out of the company, he recaptured some magic in TNA and had another string of world-class matches. Triple H, The Undertaker, The Rock, John Cena, Sting and AJ Styles are all noteworthy opponents from his run.

Baron Corbin isn't, but he's the one WWE picked to end Kurt's career.

Now, don't get us wrong, Angle probably (definitely?) wasn't capable of having a 20-25-minute stormer against someone at WrestleMania 35. Those days are firmly behind the Olympian, and he's been best-used in shorter, more dramatic matches like the one against Drew McIntyre last year. Putting him against Corbin in a six-minute stinker however? It's sad.

It's even sadder that this will go down as Angle's last hurrah, and he lost. Over time, WWE may find themselves regretting this one. Any rub Baron would've gained from ending Kurt's career was ruined by the fact fans just didn't want to see it.
