10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 35

3. The Continued Skepticism Over WWE's Announced Attendance

Alexa Bliss put on her best smile and played this generation's Howard Finkel by announcing with glee that WWE had shattered an attendance record at MetLife Stadium. No surprises there, they always do, and therein lies the source of fan skepticism; WWE's history of fabricating attendance numbers is well-known, and that makes it difficult to get excited when they announce one now.

This year's figure was 82,265.

We know what you're thinking: that number reeks of someone punching random digits into a computer. The stadium has a capacity of 82,550 for the New York Giants and Jets NFL games (when the grass isn't being used, basically), and so WWE's number comes with a caveat of suspicion.

Somehow, despite U2 selling over 88,000 tickets for a 2011 concert at MetLife, WWE are boasting about setting attendance records. If they're talking strictly pro wrestling, then perhaps, but that's where the lines get blurry between fact and fiction.
