10 Things You Can Get Fined For In WWE

3. Joshing With Vince

No, technically there isn’t a document outlining the amount wrestlers can be fined for “joshing with Vince,” but there is evidence that such shenanigans can land you in hot water—evidence that comes in the form of Titus O’Neil.

In an incident that gained a fair amount of notoriety, Titus O’Neil gave his boss a bantering push at the end of Daniel Bryan’s retirement segment, in what seemed an innocuous act. O’Neil was allegedly attempting to be chivalrous in grabbing McMahon to allow his daughter, Stephanie, to exit the stage first, but it clearly rubbed Vince the wrong way.

O’Neil was immediately slapped with a 90-day suspension, though it was later reduced to 60, as well as a $5,000 fine—as revealed by Jim Ross on his blog.

What really stung about this particular punishment was the accompanying suspension, as it robbed O’Neil of a probable WrestleMania appearance in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and the generous payday that would entail.
