10 Things You Can Get Fined For In WWE

2. Being Late

Turning up late for work is never a sound strategy in any walk of life, and in WWE that case is no different.

Back in June 2014, news broke of a “zero tolerance rule” being put into effect for “showing up to Raw or SmackDown after the designated call time, which is usually 2pm eastern time for Raw and 2pm local time for SmackDown.”

No word was given on the exact amount that guys could be fined for violating the rule, but in an appearance on Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast, D’Lo Brown provided his own account of an incident in which his tardiness landed him in a bit of trouble.

During a tour of South Africa—and after an apparent night on the town—Brown turned up 15 minutes late for the tour bus in the morning, prompting Gerald Brisco to hand him a 10K fine.

Of course, there’s a slight asterisk next to Brown’s fine. The 10K was in fact to be paid in the local currency, the South African Rand, and a quick Google search will tell you that equates to approximately $10. Presumably, Brown’s wallet could just about cope with that one...
