Would it surprise you that James Ellsworth’s favorite movie of all time is Rocky?

Just like The Italian Stallion, Ellsworth was a virtual nobody, who suddenly emerged out of nowhere to go toe-to-toe with the World Champion. He was brought in to take a fall, and make his opponent look good and then disappear forever. But so far, he’s made a lasting impression. But working for him in the Rocky Balboa comparison is that he was able to defeat his version of Apollo Creed in A.J. Styles (though he may have had a little help) the first time he had a shot at him.

To fill out some of his basic info, Ellsworth is 31 years old, he’s a family man, and a father of two daughters; a four year old and an 18 month old. He’s been in the wrestling business a long time, first training when he was 17 years old. He's a huge, lifelong fan who claims to have seen every single episode of Monday Night Raw. He had a passion for the business, and knew that's exactly what he wanted to do for a living.

The money he received from his friends and family for his graduation party was used to pay for wrestling school. And the man who trained him was none other than former ECW star Axel Rotten.

While Ellsworth is obviously hoping to land a spot in WWE, he's done alright for himself on the indy scene as he speculates he wrestles about 100 times a year in various promotions, including his own…

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
