10 Things You Didn’t Know About WWE WrestleMania

6. ‘Stone Cold’ Never Held Official Gold Going In

Steve Austin strutted into WrestleMania XII for a wild brawl with Savio Vega as the reigning Million Dollar Champion. However, that unofficial belt wasn't up for grabs in the bout, and it'd be the last time 'Stone Cold' walked down the 'Mania aisle with a strap anyway.

He headlined the pay-per-view in three different World Title matches, but never went in as champion. Austin was challenger to Shawn Michaels at XIV, and The Rock at both XV and X-Seven. Other headline performances, like his trilogy closer vs. Rocky at XIX, have been non-title.

That's mind-blowing for someone who was the biggest star of his era, and inarguably one of the biggest household names ever. There you go - 'Stone Cold' challenged plenty, but he didn't walk into the biggest card of the year with that title over his shoulder.

That lowly Million Dollar strap was the only one he carted down the aisle on the 'Show Of Shows'.
