10 Things You Didn't Know About AEW Double Or Nothing

Jon Moxley's assertive arrival at the close of Double or Nothing 2019 brought back this feeling of cliffhanger pay-per-view endings that, although once a regular occurrence throughout the mid-to-late-nineties, had gone absent from pro wrestling, many promotions instead opting for the basic celebratory conclusion.

Moxley's debut, however, was special. Speculated, sure, outright confirmed, you could say, but special all the more. Battering Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega in a scorching show-closing angle, Mox was cemented as the babyface in AEW - and he basically told you this while still under WWE contract.

Speaking to Michael Cole in his last pre-WWE exit interview, the then-Dean Ambrose informed the veteran broadcaster of his plans post-WWE, making several sly references to casinos and gambling, the known Double or Nothing theme. Said Ambrose:-

“Eight years ago, I walked into this casino. Now I’m cashing my chips and walking away from the table. I won the game. What I do with the rest of my life from here on out is my business. I answer to no one. This time the Million Dollar Man didn’t get what he wanted because I can’t be bought.”

Watch it back and then watch his arrival. The two are not the same Jonathan Good.
