8. His Skull Tattoos Cost A Bomb
By far one of the most instantly-recognisable looks in the history of pro wrestling, Bam Bam Bigelow's fiery tattoos covered most of his head, looking incredibly cool and coming off as wholly intimidating. It was a unique look, something which only came to life when Bigelow was wearing his flame-patterned outfits, or leaping through the air from the top turnbuckle onto unlucky opponents below. Incredibly, there were official WWF transfer tattoos for kids during the man's babyface run in the mid-90's, but it's hard to see how these would have appealed to anybody other than those who didn't have hair! Ignoring strange merchandise decisions, the actual ink Bam Bam had on his head reportedly cost the guy as much as $4,500. Once describing the sessions to have his head inked during an interview, Bigelow said he didn't particularly mind the pain on his head, but noted that he almost passed out a few times when the artist doing the job reached the base of his skull, right behind the ears. Such tattoos were a massive part of making Bam Bam such a feared heel in the early-90's, with fans rightly reasoning that he must have a high pain tolerance!
