10 Things You Didn't Know About Booker T

2. Felt His Crazy Accents In TNA Would Land Him Acting Gigs

Making the jump to TNA once his relationship with WWE sullied in late-2007, Booker started out as a babyface, before becoming an integral part of the stable the company felt could launch them into the big time, the 'Main Event Mafia'. Alongside the likes of Scott Steiner, Sting, Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle and his wife Sharmell, the man tried in vain to drag TNA as a promotion up by the boot straps. These attempts would prove ultimately futile, and Booker would return to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2011 Royal Rumble match, before settling as an announcer on Smackdown. Back where he belonged, Booker looked more comfortable than he ever had in TNA, where fans witnessed him trying some frankly bizarre promo techniques. It seems that Booker felt that by displaying a range of different accents that he would be showing the world that he could act and work as a diverse performer. Talking during out of character interviews, Booker T defended his crazy speech by saying that since TNA filmed show primarily in Universal Studios, you never knew who would be watching.
