One upside to being Jerry Lawler's son was that Brian got to attend regular post-show dinners with his dad and some of the WWF's most powerful players. Most importantly, Christopher sat at the same table as Vince McMahon in steakhouses all over the country, and he considered that a genuine treat.

Getting the chance to glean information from the boss was one thing, but getting to do so when McMahon was relaxed, away from the pressure-cooker atmosphere of shows and enjoying his food was something else entirely. It was an opportunity Brian greatly appreciated.

He was one of the only lower-card wrestlers who benefited from that experience nightly, and he knew it.

The dinners were also a chance for Christopher to sit under his father's learning tree and actually get to be out there on the road with him. Socialising with a man who had his best interests at heart and another who had final say on his career was something Brian relished.
