4. Billy Gunn Jeopardised His Career To Stand By Her

Chyna would go on to experience great success in the WWF, but it was her real-life relationship with Triple H that would lead to the end of her tenure. I'm not going to go into who did what behind who's back or not, as it is neither the time nor the place nor the voice. What is clear from all sides is that when it became clear that the relationship was over and Hunter was with the daughter of the boss, Chyna's time in WWF grew more and more difficult.

This would be true for all the other superstars too, as they were faced with the difficult choice of sticking by a colleague who had been wronged or keeping their jobs. It's easy to throw stones from outside the window, but in such a competitive industry such a choice must be difficult to say the least.

One man who is said to have stood by Chyna the whole time is none other than her D-Generation X cohort Billy Gunn, and many have speculated that Gunn may have sacrificed his career to do so. Reports suggest that Gunn was on the verge of serious pushes, only for these to be delayed thanks to those in positions of power who may have more H's in their name than most.

In interviews since Chyna has recalled times where the two would be in hotel rooms together as she cried her eyes out trying to come to terms with what was going on, as Gunn would be there and listen when needed. In such a cut-throat world, such loyalty must be respected.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
