7. Always Considered Himself The Unlikeable Rhodes
In Cody's mind, each male in his family fills a certain role. Growing up, he always viewed his father as the bubbly, fun-loving guy that everybody wanted to be around. It would have been quite the experience having a dad like Dusty Rhodes, who was infamous in the industry he worked in. Cody viewed his father as outgoing and extremely popular. His brother Dustin (Goldust, of course) was the charismatic one. A little more quiet than Dusty, Dustin was nonetheless still a character in his own right. People didn't flock round him quite as much as his father, but they still had a lot of time for Dustin. During a radio interview several years ago, Cody described himself as the "unlikeable Rhodes". Quieter and more brooding, he has also been known to be shy at times. That made things tough for Cody growing up, because he watched his father and older brother play extrovert characters both in front of the camera and behind it. According to Cody, he's much happier being around small groups of people, rather than baring his real-life to the world.
