10 Things You Didn't Know About Cody Rhodes

5. Glacier Had A Hand In His Training

In 2003, Cody Rhodes started seriously thinking about becoming a professional wrestler. Perhaps it was only natural that he'd be interested, given the fact that both his father and older brother had been successful in the industry. At first, Cody was more intrigued by the world of Amateur wrestling, but he'd soon trade it for the life of a pro shortly after graduating high school. His dad naturally had a hand in his training, however, the 'American Dream' realised that he had to enlist outside help if his boy was ever going to learn a variety of styles. One of the men who helped train Cody was former Tough Enough trainer Al Snow, but another you may not know about was an ex-WCW star named Ray Lloyd. During the 90s Lloyd performer as Glacier in World Championship Wrestling. The character was big budget, but didn't have provide much in the way of returns for the company or for the wrestler. Glacier failed to catch on with fans, but he was liked by Dusty and so was enlisted to help teach a young Cody. Alongside Dusty and Snow, Glacier added his experience to Cody's training.
