There were many wonderful stories shared after Dusty died, some of which were very funny and one of them by Sami Zayn on Twitter showed how people laughed at the things that Dusty did. When WWE first brought in Kevin Owens (who was known by his real name Kevin Steen before that), he was supposed to be just there to observe what others were doing in his first week at the WWE Performance Center. For whatever reason, Dusty decided to call up Kevin to do some sort of promo. What was interesting about the moment was that Dusty called for "Kip Stern" to go up there. Nobody answered because there was nobody with that name as a real name or a stage name. While people were sitting there awkwardly, William Regal elbowed Kevin and told him to go up there because the assumption was that Dusty was talking about him. That led to Kevin doing his promo in front of everybody while Dusty thought his name was Kip Stern. Apparently that led to a lot of wrestlers laughing about that moment and they can now look back on it fondly. As a tribute to Dusty getting his name wrong, Owens has actually changed his Twitter display name to "Kip Stern" in honor of the joke.
