Dusty was married twice, first to woman named Sandra and then he married Michelle, who he was married to for 38 years. What's interesting is that Dusty's wrestling family extends past his own sons because he was also the brother in law of wrestlers Jerry Saggs of the Nasty Boys and Fred Ottoman, who wrestled as Tugboat/Typhoon in WWE as well as the infamous Shockmaster in WCW.

The Nasty Boys had a decent run as a tag team in both WWE and WCW. It's not like fans were clamoring for a singles push for Saggs or Knobbs, so they remained a team that was able to win some tag team gold along the way.
