4. He Was One Of Batista's Only Supporters In The SmackDown Locker Room

Batista hardly endeared himself to the SmackDown locker room when he made disparaging remarks about their work ethic to British newspaper The Sun in early 2005. Batista probably wished he hadn't made those comments when he was drafted there in the middle of the year and a lot of the roster hadn't forgiven him for it. The future Guardians of the Galaxy star made accusations years later that JBL sandbagged him in their title matches to make the champ look bad, possibly as revenge for the comments.

Batista further drew the ire of the boys by having a blatant affair with Melina, who was going out with MNM's Johnny Nitro. Eddie Guerrero was one of the few people to really get behind Batista and the two struck up a quick friendship. Eddie called Batista the chariot that everyone needed to get behind and gave him his unwavering support, even going as far as to tell Batista to leave a show to be with his young daughter who was in the hospital giving birth. The friendship translated to on-screen chemistry and the Eddie/Batista team and storyline in late 2005 was a very entertaining one. Eddie looked like he was having a blast and was doing his best to put Batista over.
