4. To Help Expand WWE's Brand, Cena Is Learning Mandarin
The business of the WWE is not developed enough in China. Touring, television, WWE Network all definitely need a better footing in a country that has 1.35B people. Their economy is really booming currently, especially in the middle and upper-middle class. The people of China love entertainment, and the WWE definitely transcends the language barrier to provide everyone across the world with quality entertainment. As the face of the WWE for quite some time, John Cena believes that he feels the need to help the company that made him a star continue to grow today and in the future. He thinks of the WWE as a growing business and always thinks of ways to better the company. In helping the WWE get a better foothold in China, Cena is learning Mandarin and admits that it is a very tough language. He has studied the language for over a year now in his off-time for about 2-4 hours per week. He prefers to use a tutor face-to-face rather than using software or cassettes, and in little over a year's time, he has learned the equivalent of a freshman high school education in the language.
