Liv Morgan debuted as 'Marley' on the NXT TakeOver: Rival event in February 2015. After working as a planted fan for Tyler Breeze, she progressed to her current ring name and started working matches. Despite some wins on house shows here and there, Liv didn't actually win a match on television until the summer of 2016.

There, she teamed with Carmella and Nikki Cross to beat Alexa Bliss, Daria Berenato and Mandy Rose on the 13 July edition of NXT. That forgotten six-woman tag was a landmark moment for Morgan, because it was the first time she'd been booked to win in front of the cameras. A month later, she'd pick up some singles victories.

All of that happened almost two years after she'd first signed a WWE deal in October 2014.

It's hard to imagine anyone going through that in 2019-2020. Liv didn't experience the gruelling grind of indy wrestling, but she did have to pay her dues in the WWE system before they'd give her some success.
