10 Things You Didn't Know About Pat Patterson

6. Le Brunch De Pat

By the time that Pat Patterson was on commentary, he'd cemented himself as a babyface act following a fallout with The Grand Wizard. And a babyface Patterson would stay throughout his time at the announce desk. Well, apart from in French-language regions.

At that time, Pat was tasked with hosting his own interview segment call Le Brunch de Pat. Even though a babyface, Patterson specifically served as a heel during these segments. With guests who were usually the good guys of the time, it was Pat's job to be a two-faced prick to those he was interviewing.

For Le Brunch de Pat, the first ever Intercontinental Champion would ask polite, well-intended questions in English, but then passionately mock and ridicule his interviewee in French. As mentioned, these interview segments were largely put together for French-language broadcasts of WWF programming - and they are well worth hunting down in order to see just how great Pat was on the mic.

In addition to Le Brunch de Pat, Pat Patterson would also occasionally come out of in-ring retirement for Canadian live events up until 1987.
