10 Things You Didn't Know About Perry Saturn
4. He Was Homeless For Two And A Half Years
Saturn's life turned upside down in the aftermath of the shooting incident. Already hooked by drugs, the fact that he could no longer do anything other than sit around meant that he just ended up doing more and more drugs. It was at this point that Saturn disappeared, his friends and former co-workers unable to locate his whereabouts.
It later came to light that Saturn was homeless during this period, trapped in a never-ending cycle of substance abuse. He went from earning hundreds of thousand of dollars a year and living in a big house and driving an escalade to sleeping under bridges and looking in trashcans for food. It was quite the rapid fall from grace.
Eventually, Saturn was able to find some stability and remarried (his first wife died of a drug overdose), finally getting off the streets and, in time, coming back into the public eye. For a while, though, it looked as if the former Army Ranger could have been the next pro-wrestling tragedy.
