1. Didn't Like Having Bobby Heenan As A Manager
Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan is one of the most beloved figures in pro wrestling folklore. It's difficult to find a person alive who had a bad thing to say about the man, he's just one of those characters liked by his peers. Listening to Heenan's words during one shoot interview makes it clear that Rick Rude was not his biggest fan. The pair worked together in the WWF, but according to Heenan, Rude didn't want him as his manager. The idea was simple, Rude would become a member of the 'Heenan Family' in the company. Guilty by association, the brash heel would be even more hated by the fan base, due to being represented by such a 'Weasel'. For his part, Bobby appeared to love working with Rude, and it'd be easy to imagine the duo got on behind the scenes. Apparently, that couldn't be further from the truth. On more than one occasion, Rick Rude told Bobby Heenan that he neither valued nor wanted his services. Feeling he could stand alone on his own merits, Rude disliked having a manager. For fans, the tandem worked brilliantly, so it's surprising to learn the wrestler didn't appreciate Heenan.
