Ryback didn't win Tough Enough in 2004, but he impressed enough to be granted a developmental contract. After a short while squashing jobbers in OVW, he settled into a regular tag team with fellow prospect Jon Bolen. The pair teamed together in 2006 and 2007, but never captured the OVW Tag Team Championship - at one stage losing to champions Cody Runnels (Cody Rhodes) and Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger). The most risque thing about Bolen and Ryback - then wrestling under his real name, Ryan Reeves - was surely their tag moniker. 'High Dosage', whether deliberate or not, draws uncomfortable allusions to the idea of steroid abuse - allegations which have plagued Ryback throughout his career, given his bulging physique.
