10 Things You Didn't Know About Samoa Joe

4. He Was In The Best Match In TNA History

Unforgivable 2005 is widely considered to have been the best TNA PPV ever produced, and a big part of that recognition is because it had the best MATCH that TNA ever presented: a Three-Way Dance for the X-Division Championship between A.J. Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe. Even though there were less then 800 people attending the event live for this match, that didn't stop the crowd from being very loud and bearing witness to an incredibly exciting match. The match featured all three wrestlers pulling off impressive moves, but Samoa Joe was the clear favorite for very good reason. From stiff kicks, to impressive aerial maneuvers, to submission and ground-based wrestling to power moves, Joe worked incredibly well in this match, especially considering his two opponents were both smaller and more agile than he was. Joe was one of the principal reasons fans were on their feet; every time he ran the ropes, every time he connected with a stiff strike, every time he was in control, the fans shouted in approval. It was a truly incredible match Dave Meltzer is said to be very hard to please; that's why 5-Star matches are so few and far between. But this match was given such a rating because it was just that good, and to this day, it's the only TNA match to ever reach the 5-star level. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9-azR3pLkI
