10 Things You Didn't Know About Shawn Michaels

8. Is The Only Member Of The nWo To Never Compete In WCW

When Kevin Nash brought out Shawn Michaels as the mystery new member of the nWo during a June 2002 edition of RAW, the Heartbreak Kid became the latest Kliq alumni to don the famed black and white. He also became the only member of the faction to never compete in World Championship Wrestling.

In fairness, the WWF’s incarnation of the nWo, whilst initially cool to see on TV, was soon watered down and became an almost non-entity. Hulk Hogan quickly turned babyface, Scott Hall had issues, and Nash was left to bring in X-Pac, Big Show and Booker T as well as Shawn. It just never really felt right and felt like yet another missed opportunity after the whole Invasion angle had fallen flat not long before.

Either way, as well as being a member of both D-Generation X and the New World Order, Shawn Michaels is the one member of the nWo who holds the distinction of never stepping foot in one of Ted Turner’s rings.
