8. Appeared In A Documentary About Red Hair
Upon laying eyes on Sheamus for the first time, one of the first things that jumps out is his red hair. It rests upon his milky white skin and really adds to the image of a fiery Irish ass-kicker. So notable is his hair, as red as a burning flame, that he once appeared in a documentary devoted to - yes - red hair. He spilled the news in a 2009 interview with ExpressNightOut.com, saying:
I did a program with an independent studio in Ireland [...] It was all about the ginger gene and how it was dying out. It was a lot of fun. I did an interview on the Hill of Tara, which is an old Celtic lookout. There's a historic significance there: When the invaders were coming across, they'd have a clear view of Dublin for miles and miles. We ended up there with a couple of Nigerian guys that Guinness brought over, and we took a photograph: All the Nigerians and me, like a white light-bulb in between them. It was pretty funny.
As one will find out by scrolling through this article, Sheamus has a vast background of interesting and, at times, curious activities, so the idea of him participating in a documentary about red hair should be of now real surprise. It also demonstrated the pride he has in his native land, though. The man has never shied away from professing his love for his Irish heritage and the old Celtic look that he discussed in the aforementioned documentary is just another testament to it.
