That original WWWF World Heavyweight Championship was the strap's name from 1963-1971. Weirdly, that's when the promotion dropped "World" from the name before rebranding to the WWF in 1979. This would be the first few in a long line of repackage jobs for the richest prize.

In total, it's been re-dubbed 14 times.

WWE probably aren't finished there. The one Cody Rhodes currently holds at time of writing is officially referred to as the Undisputed WWE Championship. Here's another quick, 'Did You Know?' moment: The belt has reverted back to being called just the WWF/WWE Championship no less than four times.

That'll happen again once Triple H is done and dusted with the Undisputed stuff. Admittedly, most of the renamings are functional rather than glamorous, but all of them count. There you go - WWE has been rather fond of changing the belt's name since it launched in the black and white telly days of 1963.
