After Wrestlemania 7, when the Hart Foundation lost the tag team titles to the Nasty Boys, the team amicably split up, with Bret embarking on his singles career and Jim Neidhart taking a shot at broadcasting the MSG televised events. At the June 3, 1991 event, with Neidhart on commentary, Howard Finkel announced some of the matches that would be taking place at the WWF€™s July 1 return to the Garden. He announced that the Nasty Boys would be defending the Tag Team Championship against€Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart, The Hart Foundation! The Garden erupted, and Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan responded in shock while Neidhart gave his maniacal laugh. At the July 1 show, the Nasty Boys defeated the Hart Foundation by DQ after Bret Hart intercepted Jimmy Hart€™s bicycle helmet and hit both Nasty Boys with it. The match aired on the July 29 edition of Prime Time Wrestling. That would be Bret and Jim€™s last tag team match for six years.
