10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE In 1991

4. Randy Savage Wrestled Post Retirement€All The Time

Everybody remembers the Career Ending Match between The Ultimate Warrior and Macho King Randy Savage where Savage lost, and his career was apparently over. Everybody also remembers Savage being reinstated later in the year to avenge himself and Miss Elizabeth against Jake Roberts. What people may not realize is that Savage wrestled many times during the time period between those two events. The day after Wrestlemania when the WWF taped Superstars, Savage wrestled against Rick Martel, which the announcers said would officially be Savage€™s last match because he signed a contract for the match prior to ending his career. Savage would wrestle throughout the year at the jointly promoted shows between the WWF and SWS in Japan, notably facing against as well as teaming with Genichiro Tenryu. Then, in the weeks leading up to Survivor Series, Savage took the place of an injured Sid Justice on house shows, even though he hadn€™t officially been reinstated with the WWF yet.
