10 Things You Didn't Know About WWE In 2005

5. Matt Striker Was Kicked Out Of The Smackdown Locker Room

Matt Striker arrived in the WWE following a swathe of bad publicity: Striker was fired from his teaching job when the school he taught at found out that he was faking sickness in order to make independent wrestling bookings. Still, in spit of his deceit (or because of it) he impressed WWE officials and was given a contract. Striker was doing fine on Raw and Heat but incurred the wrath of the Smackdown locker room when he worked a dark match for the brand in early November. Striker remarked to a road agent that he felt Raw was the much more professional of the two locker rooms and that he preferred the atmosphere on that show. Needless to say, JBL, Chris Benoit, Hardcore Holly and Eddie Guerrero were not happy about this. Even worse than the comment about professionalism was an apparent dissing of Guerrero, which made Benoit so mad that he threw Striker's bags out of the locker room and ordered him to change in the hall. Not learning from having Benoit, Guerrero and JBL yell at him (and having Bob Holly almost beat him up), Striker continued to alienate his colleagues for pretty much the rest of his WWE tenure.
