9. WWE Could've Squeezed A Match From William Shatner

Who knows if old Captain Kirk would've been interested, but his antics on the 9 January Raw suggested that William Shatner could've worked some sort of celebrity match follow up. He appeared on Jerry Lawler's 'King's Court' to promote his new TekWar TV series, then hit the clownish host with a monkey flip.

OK, it was the worst monkey flip ever, but so what?

The moment got a big response out of fans in Houston, and it's likely there would've been some hype for a Shatner and Bret Hart vs. Lawler and another heel tag-team effort. Jeff Jarrett came out to try and save Jerry, so he would've been a solid pick. Three workers of that calibre would've covered for Shatner's obvious lack of grappling skills.

All Willy would've needed to do was smash Lawler with a big punch and set him up for Hart's Sharpshooter anyway. It's a bit of a shocker that the WWF didn't try to pull something like this off, if only to get some much-needed celeb rub.
