10 Things You Learn From Boycotting WWE For One Year

7. The McMahon's (Inexplicably) Still Love Sheamus

I don€™t even know where to start on this one. I learned at the start of the episode that until Reigns was crowned champion, the belt had belonged to Sheamus. I looked up how this could be and of course it involved a briefcase (please drop this gimmick immediately), an injury to a far superior champion, and a title run of about twenty minutes all up (yawn). Sheamus was obviously a placeholder, which made me feel a little bit better. But come on €“ Sheamus? In 2015? As champion? Shudder. The company is awash with talent, and is desperate for new heels. They could have done something €“ ANYTHING €“ more interesting than give the belt to the guy that lost all relevancy three years ago. Between the fact that Kane is still wrestling (in a main event of PPV I actually read somewhere as well!) and WWE felt that Sheamus would be the guy that they should finally pull the trigger on with Reigns, it€™s clear that political favour is still very much alive and well in Stamford.
