Scanning the field for the 1991 Royal Rumble, there really weren't too many men who could be considered definite favourites. Randy Savage was protected by being pulled from the match, earlier he had interfered in the WWF Title showdown between The Ultimate Warrior and Sgt. Slaughter. That narrowed things down a little come Rumble time.

Realistically, Hulk Hogan was the only one who was going to win. Perhaps The Undertaker, who had only made his debut months before at Survivor Series, was a big threat, but Hulk ruled on this occasion. Aside from 'The Deadman', nobody else really stood out as someone who could win the 30-man match.

The British Bulldog, Mr. Perfect, Earthquake and Jake 'The Snake Roberts' were all big stars, but they weren't quite on the same level as Hogan. Compared to the 1990 version, there wasn't quite the same excitement surrounding the infamous match.

Undertaker lasted a good 15 minutes before being eliminated by both members of The Legion Of Doom, meaning he wasn't there come the end to threaten Hogan's victory.
