2. Randy Savage Vs. Jake Roberts Should Have Been At Survivor Series

That eventual tussle between Randy Savage and Jake Roberts ended up going just over 5 minutes at This Tuesday In Texas. It was hardly a satisfying pay off after building an entirely new pay-per-view around the snake bite angle. In fact, it felt ultimately pointless.

Savage vs. Roberts should have taken place at Survivor Series, it would have really helped that show out. Aside from this feud and the rematch between Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker, This Tuesday In Texas didn't really have much else to offer those tuning in. The advent of Tuesday pay-per-views would prove to be a failed experiment for the WWF.

If the bout had taken place at Survivor Series, more time should have been afforded to it. Fans were hot at Roberts for his actions, rallying behind Savage and willing him to beat his hated rival. It felt cheap to open Survivor Series by teasing a match people weren't going to see that night.

Bear in mind that fans had forked out for that pay-per-view, and they did so only to be faced with promotion for another. That was crass and people deserved better.
