10 Things You Learn From Watching 1994 On The WWE Network
5. It's Weird That WrestleMania X Was Randy Savage's Last
Given that 2017 will see the coming of WrestleMania 33, it's genuinely weird to think that Randy Savage last appeared on the show no less than 22 full events ago. Come next year, that number will rise to 23. That's right, the Macho Man's last showing at WrestleMania happened in 1994.
Most know that Savage made up his mind to step away from the WWF later the same year, joining WCW and never again working for Vince McMahon. Passing away in 2011, Randy didn't even have the opportunity to accept a WWE Hall Of Fame induction whilst he was still among the living.
That's upsetting for longtime fans, Randy Savage was one of the WWF's premier stars during those glory years of the 1980's and early-1990's. Facing Crush in a rare Falls Count Anywhere outing, Savage did at least win his last 'Mania appearance.
For someone who had appeared - in some form - at almost every single WrestleMania (Savage wasn't hired until after 'Mania I) before then, it's stunning to think that it's been well over 20 years since Randy Savage graced the show.
