Arguably, it was all downhill from the first match of the inaugural In Your House pay-per-view. In that opener, Bret Hart faced the interesting Japanese star Hakushi in a scrap that wasn't exactly everyday fare for WWF viewers. If things had continued in this vein, In Your House may have provided the company with something unique to offer fans.

The story was that Bret would have to work two matches on the same show, one against Hakushi and then one against his arch rival Jerry Lawler. The longest bout on the card, Hart vs. Hakushi was one of the best pay-per-view clashes of the entire year, and should have perhaps led to bigger things for the Japanese grappler.

For those fans newer to pro wrestling, it's imperative that this match gets a watch on the WWE Network. Even Vince McMahon, providing commentary from ringside, sounds like he's impressed by what both wrestlers achieved.

Hakushi would have another cracker against The 1-2-3 Kid at SummerSlam, although he'd be gone from the WWF by early-1996. Strangely, the WWF had other heels in mind for top line pushes.
