6. Either Shawn Michaels Or The Undertaker Should Have Won King Of The Ring

1995 is notable for providing what many have called the single worst King Of The Ring event ever. Inarguably, the pay-per-view failed to live up to what had come before in both 1993 and 1994. Bret Hart had won the crown in '93, his brother Owen followed the next year, then Vince McMahon decided that lumbering beast Mabel was the ideal choice in '95.

The tagline for the event was 'Guts & Glory'. Ironically, it certainly took guts for the WWF to book a 'King' Mabel victory. Unthinkably, the purple-clad tag-team star even pinned The Undertaker on his way to the tournament win.

That horror coincided with a Shawn Michaels elimination after going to a time limit draw against Kama. In the span of two matches fans had witnessed two clear favourites being ousted from the competition, all so the WWF could present Mabel vs. Savio Vega in the final.

Mabel should never have been chosen for the 'King' moniker, Michaels or Undertaker were the only choices. That final bout between Mabel and Vega was a heat vacuum, fans just didn't care about the tournament by that point.
