5. Roman Becomes The Rock

How do you solve the four-year problem of convincing wrestling fans to cheer Roman Reigns? Turn him into The Rock, apparently.

WWE had 'The Big Dog' mimic The Revival word for word last night. When Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder spoke of their "teamwork and continuity," Reigns threw it right back at them, adopting a tone of voice almost identical to those his cousin would use when running opponents down.

It was schoolyard humour, but it worked. The crowd responded positively to a Reigns line for the first time in what feels like forever. Granted, he probably doesn't have the charisma to pull this off long-term, but it was cool to see him channel his cousin regardless.

After years of abject babyface failure, letting Reigns cut loose and inject a few dashes of humour into his work may not be the worst idea, provided the writers steer clear of sufferin' succotash, son.
