8. The Intercontinental Championship Segment
There were two moments during Maria Menounos' interview with new WWE Intercontinental champion Daniel Bryan that stood out as really strong additions to what was an otherwise comedy angle. The first was Ric Flair appearing just after Ricky Steamboat congratulated Bryan and laying in a chop to the chest of his longtime rival. Steamboat appeared to be caught off guard by the chop, making it an even bigger mark out moment for those fans who remember the classic matches between the two Hall of Famers, who spent decades chopping the unholy hell out of each others. For old school fans, it was a great Easter egg. The other moment was a very alert Menounos greeting Ron Simmons with "Ron, you aren't a former intercontinental champion." It was a great heads-up moment from the Extra co-host, who is an admitted wrestling fan.
