10 Things You Might Have Missed At WrestleMania 31

5. Daniel Bryan's Tribute To Connor The Crusher

Just 24 hours removed from inducting the late Connor Michalek into the WWE Hall of Fame as the first recipient of the Warrior Award, Daniel Bryan entered Levi's Stadium for his intercontinental championship ladder match to kick off the main show festivities. As he has done so many times throughout his career, he showed tremendous guts and resiliency in battling Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, R-Truth, Stardust and Bad News Barrett, all for the right to capture the only title that had eluded him his WWE career. The match featured a classic performance from Bryan, and likely would have been Connor's favorite contest of the entire show had he been around to see it. Unfortunately, he was not, but that did not stop the Aberdeen, Washington, native from having his biggest fan, and greatest inspiration, with him in spirit as he ascended the ladder, fended off a late surge from Dolph Ziggler and won the IC strap. As Bryan celebrated atop the ladder, a close look at the Superstar revealed a Connor's Cure bracelet wrapped around his wrist tape. It was a touching tribute to someone who clearly meant the world to Bryan and was such an integral part of the weekend's festivities.
