Speaking of Brock Lesnar's WWE contract...

Ever since Lesnar re-signed with the WWE, there has been speculation of just what his contract entailed. Of course, clearly the money was good - Lesnar is well known as a savvy businessman. What else? Many fans speculated that a match in the UFC could have been slipped into the contract. However, no one really took that all that seriously, at least until this past Saturday night.

However, reports have made the rounds suggesting that Lesnar held out on the WWE prior to his match with Dean Ambrose at this year's WrestleMania to ensure that a one-off return to the UFC was put in writing. How much strength there is to those rumours in uncertain, but what is certain is that Lesnar is returning, whether the WWE likes it or not.

It's absolutely incredible that any star has the power to put a company on notice this way. Yes, Ronda Rousey showed up at WrestleMania 31, and maybe this whole Lesnar deal is the WWE repaying the favour, but lets face it: Rousey made a cameo. She wasn't the star of the show, even if she became one of the most talked about performers at WrestleMania that year.

She didn't have a full blown match, either.

In the end, one way or another Lesnar is back in the UFC, even if just for one night.
