6. He Wrestled Rey Mysterio In His Professional Debut

this is spooky. Rey Mysterio and Perro Aguayo Jr. not only faced each other in Aguayo's tragic final match, but they were also on opposite sides of the ring during Aguayo's debut match, too. On March 12th 1995 Juventud Guerrera and Rey Mysterio took on Aguayo Jr. and Picudo in a match taped for AAA television. Rey was was a six year veteran by that point and an accomplished high-flyer. It would have been up to him to lead the match. Mysterio would soon leave AAA to attempt to make it in America, infrequently crossing paths with Aguayo. Rey had tweeted in the days before the accident that he and Aguayo were catching up and becoming fast friends. After the accident, Rey posted the above picture to his Instagram account with the following message:
I had the privilege to share a ring for the first time with Hijo Del Perro Aguayo in his debut as a professional wrestler & an Honor to be in the Ring with this great Legend for the last time! You will be missed Perro:: RIP Perro Aguayo Jr.
Rey has said that he will always hold Aguayo in his heart.
