For many wrestlers, reaching WWE is the culmination of a childhood dream. The likes of Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins spent years grafting on smaller stages solely to reach this point, and for them, professional wrestling is a lifelong obsession. Their success has come through decades of dedication to the sport, and is the ultimate reward for their childhood fandom.

Kairi Hojo is completely different, however. She had absolutely no interest in the business prior to starting her training in Stardom, and was only aware of wrestlers like Giant Baba through her father. The sport wasn’t her chosen career until Stardom introduced her to wrestling’s unique blend of acting and athletic competition, and that’s when her fandom began.

Thus, Hojo is relatively new to the ins and outs of the business when compared to the majority of her peers. This makes her success all the more remarkable, as while there’s no rule that a wrestler must be a lifelong fan in order to prosper in the business, such dedication certainly helps.

Hojo has become a huge fan since entering the business, and recently stated that Hulk Hogan was her dream opponent. While we can’t see that happening anytime soon, it would at least be a hilarious spectacle.
