Despite being away from ring action for well over a decade, Austin is always going to draw a reaction when he appears, and what better place to show up than at WrestleMania, in your home state?
With the League of Nations running their mouths in the ring, the WWE crowd were already popped to see Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels appear on the ramp, suitably ready to confront Wade Barrett and co.
The expectancy was there for a third man to appear, but few expected it to be the 'Rattlesnake', and some 100,000 people in the AT&T stadium nearly took the roof off the place when Austin appeared.
It was a great surprise return for Austin, who whipped the crowd into a further frenzy when he delivered stunners to Rusev, Barrett, and the unfortunate Xavier Woods at the end of the segment.
