9. Montreal Against Eric Bischoff
With a back story involving the ever villainous WCW supremo Eric Bischoff, any damage done by Austin was going to be well received, and boy did it get a reaction in Montreal at No Way Out 2003.
Bischoff had been running riot on Raw, calling out Stone Cold over accusations he walked out on the company and Vince McMahon. After Bischoff travelled to Texas to try – and fail – to sign Austin, the Raw GM sacked popular announcer and friend of Stone Cold, Jim Ross.
With Bischoff under pressure from McMahon, the WWE owner booked him into a match with Austin at No Way Out after Ross revealed the Texas Rattlesnake would be at the PPV.
With a whimpering Bischoff in the ring, the glass smashed, and the Montreal crowd went nuts for Austin. The pop continued throughout most of the match too, as Stone Cold beat Bischoff to a pulp, before delivering not one, not two, but three stunners to close out the one sided contest and delight the audience.
