8. Hulk Hogan Vs Shawn Michaels - SummerSlam 2005

It was probably too good to be true to think two of professional wrestling’s biggest egos could actually do business together without incident. This was the case when Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels started a program together in 2005. They started out as a tag team before Michaels turned on Hogan, setting the stage for a classic confrontation at SummerSlam 2005.

It should have been a match made in heaven. Hogan was the most charismatic wrestler of all time who could hold any crowd in the palm of his hand. Michaels could, when he felt like it, elevate the most limited in-ring workers.

However, they butted heads backstage over the creative direction of the feud, and an angry Michaels took matters into his own hands. He ridiculously oversold all of Hogan's offense throughout the match, which turned the dream match into a glorified comedy act straight out of “Dumb and Dumber”. Michaels bounced around, flipped, and twirled like he was a kid playing in a funhouse. This controversial classic mercifully came to an end after Hogan’s signature finishing combo, which Michaels, of course, oversold.
