10 Times Fighters Used Their Signature Move In A Movie
9. Ronda Rousey - Entourage
Though she has now successfully transitioned into the world of professional wrestling, proving to be a natural in the squared circle, many MMA fans once believed that Hollywood was going to be the most likely destination for the Rowdy One once her career in the Octagon was over.
Indeed, Ronda did not wait till two consecutive defeats brought an end to her in-ring career to make her on-screen debut. In 2014, she starred alongside fellow list-entrant Randy Couture in the third Expendables movie.
While still the reigning UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, Rousey would also go on to star in the 2015 comedy Entourage as herself. In the movie, Rousey is seen hitting pads with her real-life trainer Edmond Tarverdyan. Fellow MMA to pro wrestling converts Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir can also be seen in the backdrop of the gym.
Rousey promises Jerry Ferrara's character that if he can last 30 seconds in the cage with her, he can take her on a date. Unsurprisingly, the fight doesn't last very long, with Rousey employing her signature judo throw to armbar combination.
