Debuting in 1990, The Undertaker was a character like no other. Even when up against top stars like Hulk Hogan or Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, the supernatural aspects of 'Taker's persona were said to give him an advantage. In the early years of his career, Undertaker was entirely unique.

By 1997, it was decided that a new character should debut to take advantage of his success. Enter Kane, a man said to be The Undertaker's own brother.

Introduced in stirring fashion at the end of a Hell In A Cell match between his storyline sibling and Shawn Michaels, 'The Big Red Machine' looked truly frightening.

The scene was set for an epic collision at WrestleMania XIV. Incredibly, it's been said that Kane was supposed to be a short-lived character, disappearing after his loss to 'Taker at 'Mania. That didn't happen, he's still very much part of WWE television today.

Since 1998, The Undertaker and Kane have clashed and teamed together regularly in equal measure. Whenever they are against one another, they're always said to be completely even.
